Our paddocks were designed and planned by us. When we bought the property the fields were a blank canvas. We immediately invested in completely securing the perimeters with high quality and reliable badger proof fencing.

We have foot dips at the entrance to the two race gates and powerful electric fencing (which would pack a punch!). No animal has come into the herd and we do not let animals out of the secure area. 

 

None of our alpacas go to show, though we will be presenting the fleece at regional and national fleece shows. The herd were all TB tested in 2015.

We have put in place a set of preventative measures to reduce the risk of transmission of infectious disease.
